OPERA DIABOLICUS Completes Mixing Debut Album

November 13, 2008

OPERA DIABOLICUS, the Swedish doom rock-opera project featuring multi-instrumentalist Snowy Shaw (THERION, DREAM EVIL, KING DIAMOND, MERCYFUL FATE, MEMENTO MORI, NOTRE DAME),has finished mixing its debut album at Andy La Rocque's (KING DIAMOND) Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden. The CD will be mastered at Tailor Maid Production in Spånga, Sweden in the beginning of December. A pre-mastered version of one of the songs from the album will be available on the OPERA DIABOLICUS MySpace page at the end of next week, so "for fans of dark heavy theatrical music in the style of KING DIAMOND, CANDLEMASS, THERION, MEMENTO MORI and DIMMU BORGIR, Christmas will come early this year," according to a press release.

OPERA DIABOLICUS — which also features contributions from Mats Levén (KRUX, ex-THERION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and Niklas Isfeldt (DREAM EVIL),among others — earlier this summer re-recorded all guitar, bass and vocals for its upcoming CD, and according to the people involved, it turned out "fantastic."
